We are encouraging individuals and families to participate in local 5K or 10K races on Thanksgiving Day in honor of the War Machine Foundation.

Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle is committed to making the world a better place through his support of the War Machine Foundation. He is enthusiastic about leveraging his endorsement of Davis Latham’s new book to help raise funds and awareness for the foundation’s mission.

“Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and giving back,” said Don Cheadle. “By lacing up your running shoes and participating in a local race, you’re not only embracing a healthy tradition but also supporting efforts to build stronger, more understanding communities.”

November 19, 2024 - The War Machine Foundation is proud to announce that our founder, esteemed humanitarian and acclaimed actor Don Cheadle, has been nominated as the Trump Administration’s Director of Global Peace Initiatives.

The nomination was announced earlier this morning by President-Elect Trump, a longtime friend and supporter of Mr. Cheadle. President-Elect Trump cited Don Cheadle’s history as an international thought leader, his extensive charitable work, and his unparalleled commitment to humanitarian aid as key reasons for his selection.

In his new role, Don Cheadle will oversee the Administration’s global peacekeeping efforts, including strengthening existing international relationships, forging new strategic partnerships, bridging geopolitical divides, and overseeing rapid response efforts to emerging conflicts. At the press conference, Don Cheadle stated:

“I could not be more excited to serve under one of our nation’s greatest Presidents. President Trump has been one of my biggest supporters for as long as I can remember, and it’s an honor to work under such an incredible man to help make this world a better and more peaceful place. THIRD QUARTER AND TEN MONTHS FOR FISCAL 2023

DHAKA, BANGLADESH- The War Machine Foundation is pleased to announce its fiscal report for its third quarter and ten months ending on August 1, 2023.

• Donations for the quarter and ten months grew 50% and 100% respectively.

• Total donations for the period exceeded $16 billion, with over 72% of donations coming from individual donors.

• $12.5 billion donated to two hundred and twenty-four (224) charities across forty (40) countries around the world.

• Seven (7) new research hospitals constructed across three continents with eighty-five (85) new research fellows hired.

• Fifty (50) forms of cancer cured.

“Our results this quarter are reflective of what we’ve accomplished through the unprecedented expansion we’re undertaking at the War Machine Foundation to grow our brand, improve efficiencies, and embrace creative solutions to recurring, global issues.” Said Davis Latham, Chief Executive Officer, the War Machine Foundation. “Our forward-focused vision is creating cost-effective, coordinated, and streamlined approaches to our operation that has put us on track to exceed our initial goal of $3 billion in savings. The Annual War Machine Foundation Charity Gala, held this year in the futuristic metropolis of Akon City, was a resounding success. Bringing together renowned philanthropists, celebrities, and influencers from across the globe, the WMF is delighted to announce the Gala raised nearly $2.1 billion for charitable efforts. Keynote speaker Don Cheadle, star of blockbuster hit War Machine 3, delivered an unforgettable speech that has become the highest watched social media video of all time. 

Akon City Grand Prix

The Akon City Grand Prix saw the world’s most elite racecar drivers compete in what ESPN dubbed, “the most exciting event in professional sports.” The exhilarating competition brought together drivers, racing enthusiasts, and global viewers for an unforgettable experience that drew nearly two million in-person spectators. With nearly one billion people tuning in on WMF Live to stream the event, the Grand Prix shattered dozens of records in the professional sporting world.

War Machine 3

Produced, directed, and starring global superstar Don Cheadle, War Machine 3 became the first Hollywood blockbuster to donate the entirety of its revenue to charity via the War Machine Foundation. As the highest grossing movie of all team, the proceeds from ticket sales alone to this incredible film were enough to build twenty orphanages in Southeast Asia and Central America. Beyond its incredible financial success, the film was also worthy for winning the Oscar in every category, becoming the first movie to ever do so.

Overview

The War Machine Foundation has experienced phenomenal growth in the second quarter of 2023, allowing us to expand our reach and deepen our impact on communities both domestically and internationally. We kicked off the year with the Annual WMF Charity Gala in Bangladesh, which raised significant funds for cancer research hospitals worldwide.

Major Initiatives and Achievements

1. Annual WMF Charity Gala: This event proved to be a great success, and the funds raised will be donated to 70 cancer research hospitals across the globe.

2. Akon City Grand Prix: As the most streamed event on the internet in the past three years, the Akon City Grand Prix has generated substantial ticket sales. These funds will support the construction of our next major investment, the Don Cheadle Cancer and Pygmy Research Hospital in Bangkok.

3. Don Cheadle Cancer and Pygmy Research Hospital: This cutting-edge facility in Bangkok will serve as the world's premier medical center for the WMF's dual goals of eradicating cancer and aiding Pygmy tribes around the world.

4. Partnership with Gamera: In collaboration with Gamera, we are excited to announce a special Christmas surprise for children worldwide this holiday season.
